28 January 2012: On Friday a peel police office fired and shot at a man Velvet Grass Lane in Brampton Ontario. The Special Investigations Unit is still investigating. The man was driving an unknown SUV that residents said they never saw in the neighbourhood in Brampton before.
3 November 2011: The Peel District School Board is planning to increase spending on French Immersion in Brampton next year. The decision is made based on the increased demand of the program. By the fall of of next year 33 elementary, nine middle, and six secondary schools will be offering the French Immersion program.
